Browsing this site

We set no cookies and run no analytics. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from abuse, as every web host does.

When you suggest a tool

We store what you type (the tool you want replaced, why, an optional link) and, only if you give it, your email address. We use the suggestion to decide what to build; the factory's research, written with the help of Anthropic's Claude (Anthropic PBC, USA), reads it. If we approve a suggestion, the tool name and your reason may be shown on this site, never your email. We use your email only to tell you if a tool for your suggestion gets built, once, and nothing else; no newsletter.

Abuse protection

To limit submissions to one a minute, we store a one-way hash of your IP address for 24 hours, then delete it.

Where it is stored

In a Cloudflare D1 database (Cloudflare, Inc.). Cloudflare and Anthropic act as our processors; transfers to the USA rely on their standard contractual clauses.

How long

Suggestions until we've decided on them and for up to 24 months after; emails until we've told you the outcome, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is first.

When you email us

Emails to any @glasshouseinitiative.com address are received by Cloudflare Email Routing and stored in a Cloudflare D1 database, with a copy forwarded to the operator's mailbox. Acknowledgements and replies go out through Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). The email's content is processed by Anthropic's Claude to sort it and draft replies; replies written with AI help say so, and you can always ask for a person. We keep emails for 12 months after the conversation ends, or less if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, at [email protected]. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local data protection authority.
